REVIEW : Mamonde's Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense

Hey-ho!

Today I'm going to review something that I got some weeks ago, this is the first Mamonde product that I review actually! It's Mamonde's Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense!

I absolutely want and know it'll work great after reading Sasyachi's blog post, but honestly, finding a complete collection of Mamonde products in Busan is a challenge, really. If you're going to travel to Korea and you want to see and look for yourself Mamonde's products collection, they have opened a flagship store in Myeongdong, I got these products there too!

Mamonde is a brand that inspired most by flowers, so..

The website stated that these are a combination of lipstick + lip tint + lip balm. Slightly disagree with the lip tint part because it didn't really staining (see the swatches below).

Like most other chubby-sticks-balms-lip products that are getting more and more variation in the market, this product didn't really stand out much really. It's chubby, and retractable. And on the end of the tube there's the shade pointer. You can just directly see to the sticks because the cap is transparent but anyway,

I bought two shades, #10 is one that I really, really wanted because of Sasyachi's review (She has the same shade) and #07 is just so summer-like and that's the shade that I really need this summer really.

The texture is really balmy, it glides on the lips but in the same time has a vivid pigmentation. Also it has this natural shine finish and didn't feel sticky at all. Light weight on the lips and didn't accentuate any lines on the lip.

Still, these balmy type of lip products don't usually last long, and it does too. It doesn't stand through meals or even light snacks, even when I didn't put anything into my mouth, the inside part of my lips looks like rubbed off (definitely not in a disgusting way, or in a very obvious way). Nevertheless, they're easy to re-apply because there's no lip balm is needed in the process!

BELOW : after wiped with a makeup wipes.

Moisturizing
Highly pigmented
Great texture, glides on the lips
Natural gloss finish
Didn't accentuates lines on the lips
Retractable
Non sticky

The cap is not really secure, it came loose in my bag.
Maybe because it's me, I'm really messy #whataboutit

#07 Let's Kiss

#10 Let's Classy

Overall, other than the cap problem I'm in love with this product. #07 almost never leave my handbag and it's the perfect shade for the summer. I know when autumn come I'll gonna get a lot of use out of #10.

I also love the way when it faded away, it doesn't fading away in the un-attractive, messy flaky disgusting kinda way, but it's just fading in a good way, I guess! :p

What do you think? :D

REVIEW : 3CE Cover Cream Foundation in Sand Beige

Omg, it's been a while, isn't it?
I've not touching my laptop for almost 5 days now. I was in Bangkok for holiday with my family! And next week I'll have to take a plane again for (another) holiday, this time with my grandma. I think I'm bringing my laptop this time because it'll be for a whole week! Ekk!

Now I'm in my home in Indonesia! Yey! Where the internet is not too good, but definitely work-able lah. So today I'm bringing you a review for 3CE Cover Cream Foundation in Sand Beige!

This product is relatively new on the website, it was released on the offline store first and the site was updated after that. I was thrilled to see this on the site, because again if you know me, foundation, full coverage, call me in! I purchased the darkest shade out of the 3, Sand Beige.

Talking about the packaging, the foundation came in a glass jar with a matte coating over it. And the seal is attached to the cap and the glass jar. The foundation also came with a spatula, which is quite small. I usually gave up and throw away spatulas that came with a product, but this time I might have to keep it around.

Do I like the packaging? I love it so much, but in the same time I don't think it's the most practical or 'easy' to work with. The glass jar is heavy and the cap is thick too. It's not travel friendly, it takes time to use the product, and I know at the end of the day it'll left me some product I could never scoop out of the jar (Because it's a square, it's hard to get on the corners especially the upper ones)

Even though it's called a 'cream' foundation, it isn't like a regular cream foundation. It's more like liquid foundation with super thick consistency that is packed into a jar.

It's really a plus for a foundation to have high SPF, and yes this product has SPF of 30 PA++. It comes in 3 shades, "Light Vanila", "Natural Ivory" and "Sand Beige" - my shade, Sand Beige is actually a little bit too orangey for me, but Natural Ivory is definitely too light for me, so the jump between the 2nd and 3rd shade is a bummer :/

There's a plastic separator to keep the product inside.

For the product consistency, it's creamy, it's thick and it's blendable. I like to scoop some out and then dotting it all over my face and blend them with my brush. Usually I do half of my face first, and then the other.

The coverage is awesome! It covers literally everything, I almost didn't need to conceal anything. (Well, I still conceal my under eye, if not my face will be super flat). It has a dewy finish - which is unique for a foundation with high coverage to have one, but this one is super dewy, like wth. I need a ton of powder to make it matte, or at least a little bit least sticky.

For the lasting power, I think it has a decent one, can't say it's super long-lasting. Especially I have oily combo skin, and dewy foundation isn't a good match for me at all. And in this blazing summer weather, hot and humid, without primer I'm quite sure the foundation won't last on me. Thank God for primer!

During my trip to Seoul with Rini from Rinicesillia.com, I use this foundation 90% of the time and it make my face look FLAWLESS on camera.

High coverage
Looks super nice on camera
A little goes a long way
Creamy, easy to blend texture
Chic packaging

Not travel friendly, annoying packaging
Dewy finish (too dewy for my taste)
Transfers to anything that touches your skin
Pricey. Meh.

Overall, I do like this foundation - though I'm agree that this is not for daily use. Not only the whole jar thing is un-practical for everyday use, but the consistency itself is too thick. I really like my face on camera when I'm using this particular product. Oh, for the dewy-ness, I can reduce it by using my makeup sponge instead.

CAFE 101 : Cafe Terrace, Samcheong-dong, Seoul (카페테라스, 삼청동 서울)

Last week, me and Rini from Rinicesillia.com had sometime to take a walk to an area in Seoul called 삼청동 (Samcheong-dong) which is famous for its 카페거리 (Cafe-gori) that literally translate into "cafe street". I went to 2 cafes with ce Rini, and one with my friends that are currently residing in Seoul.

Samcheongdong area is not far from 경복궁 (Kyeongbok Goong - Kyeongbok Palace). If you're going with public transportation, you can take off in 시청역 (City Hall Station), go to exit 4 and take 종로 11 bus and take off in 삼청동주민센터 (Samcheongdong Community Center). After that you can take a walk through a lot of cafes and little shops, and with a little more walk you can get to 북촌한옥마을 (Bukcheon Hanok Village) which filled with traditional Korean houses (people do live in there! so be quite around the area or you will disturb the residents :))

with the folks :)

After a few walk around the main road, we are beaten by the sun (seriously, Seoul in Summer is either raining or the sun is trying to fry you alive). We can't resist "Cafe Terrace" big 팥빙수 (Patbingsoo - Red Bean Shaved Ice) ad and we gave in to this cafe. Among other 100+ cafes we decided to try this cafe :)

[first floor]

[second floor]

[today's menu]

we ordered milk-tea bingsoo and strawberry blueberry smoothies. Both came in a big size! And you have to see the size of the waffles there too, we didn't order it but people next to our table does, and it's really, really big.

Luckily all of the things we ordered tasted amazing!

"Cafe Terrace" located in the main street so it's really easy to locate. They have some unique bingsoo varieties and coffees too. Sadly I forgot to take the picture of the whole menu.

The place is also spacious too, first floor is kinda packed, but the second floor has twice as much seats available :)

Thankyou so much for reading!
I hope you enjoy posts like this, since I do this kinda post in earlier days, hence [mysugarcoffee] is born. Well, I love cafes and I can't hide it :)
