REVIEW : The Balm Nude Dude Palette

Hello, sugars! Today I'm going to review a palette I had from sometime ago and in love with! Sorry for skipping with Korean brands for so long because I do have more new western item to review lol!

I do had the Nude 'tube, which is the first neutral palette from The Balm and this is the second edition of the palette. I was very satisfied with my Nude 'tude palette that I did not hesitate at all to purchase this one.

The inside is almost the same as the first edition, even the brush that came with the palette. The design is almost the same as the first one, just with different eyeshadow shade.

There's a dozen shade in the palette, 4 of them are matte eyeshadows (fearless, flawless, feisty and friendly) and the other are shimmer eyeshadows (fabulous, faithful, firm, fit, flirty, funny, fierce and fine)

Palette from "The Balm" are all pigmented, and out of all other high end brands, the price is definitely on the lower side. And please, let us not forget the design - it's all so nice but definitely is not cheap looking. One thing is that this palette seems leave more fall outs than the first one, so using a primer is definitely helping. Or for me, I'm pretty much used to do my concealer after my eyeshadow. When I used this for myself, I don't see a lot of fall outs, but whenever I used this palette for other person, it seems to have so much fall outs I have to clean their under eye before I can continue.

Now that I'm making this blog post, that all the names are adjectives (for a perfect man, I guess) and they started with "F" - anddd I'm "F"ilia! lol.

Among these 12 shades, my favorite is "Flirty" because it's a pink taupe shimmer shade, I don't think I had this shade anywhere else in my collection!

I've used this palette, either for myself or for when I did someone else makeup just because this palette is so versatile, it contain everything I ever need. I loved this palette more than the 1st one just because the shades are more neutral and usable for daily makeup!

And, this palette is made out of cardboard, so it's light and the mirror is big, I love this palette for travelling. Of course, since it's 'paper' you have to becareful for it not to hit something hard for a long time because mine already left with streaks since I put the palette inside my makeup pouch. It probably hit my eyelash curler T_T

REVIEW : Sleek Makeup "MATTE ME" in Party Pink

Sleek products seem to have the simplest design, they always go with solid matte black for their product. The applicator is very stiff and straight, but I found the product is easier to apply with applicator such as this one. I checked the website and sadly they only have 6 shades available now, I really hoped they'll make some more!

As the name suggest, this lip cream is very matte and pigmented. First applied it seems to be sticky on the lips (reminds me of L.A. Girl's) but as the time goes and the product sets, the stickiness disappears. Once it sets, it didn't budge and didn't transfer either! But of course you have to wait until it 100% dries on the lips.

One thing that tickles me is the name of the shade I own, "Party Pink" - and you'll see it's definitely more like a tomato red shade. But below, in my lips swatch, I used the product only on the inside and blend them out, it turns out pretty nicely and the pink actually shows up there! If you would like to create an ombre look, you have to work quick because once it sets, it won't budge.

After it sets, I don't think it's drying, but it does settles a bit into the lips line but it isn't like super obvious.

A little tip here, if you do apply lip balm before this product, make sure the lip balm settles in or for much faster process, blot your lips, because if the moisture of lip balm still on your lips, I found that the lip product is harder to blend evenly on the lips.

Despite of the misleading shade name, I quite like this product! The formulation is just a bit better than what I expected to be and it does everything you expect for a matte lip cream - it's pigmented, it's long lasting and it's matte.

I do like to blend it a little so that it doesn't look so 'orangey' and that way too the dryness seems to be much bearable during the day!

I cam see recently every online shops are all about matte lip creams! And I think there's this trend going and it seems most brands came out with their own matte lip cream.

Despite it's chubby tube, the applicator inside is actually very firm and fine enough to draw in your lips without messing everything up!

Especially with dark colored lip product like this, accurate application is definitely needed because it's really easy for the product to get off your lips line!

The product itself, amazing. Lip creams are mostly have awesome pigmentation, and so this one does. Also, not to be confused with the name that contain "gloss" on it, this product has 100% matte finish. I think they put "gloss" because it does look like a lip gloss more than a lipstick. I don't know if this just me, but I'm kinda confused because when I tried it turn out 100% matte and I was like.. "where's the gloss..?"

Now, to compare Korean brand's lip cream to American / Western brand product is that Korean brand's lip creams are mostly still promote "moisturizing" effect on them, thus making their lasting power much, much weaker than the western brands.

Take 3CE lip lacquer or Etude House's Liquid Lips, comparing to this product. Sure they have the same matte & creamy texture, but you definitely can't compare the lasting power because this L.A Girl Matte Pigment Gloss stays on for like 8++ hours on my lips, even after a very brutal udon eating fiesta I had. But, in comparison, 3CE's and Etude House's are creamy enough for people with dry lips comfortably wear it. I'm just going to state it here because obv people are going to ask anyway since I mostly do Korean brand products review! :)

Now, back to the product review! The product itself is very creamy and easy to apply, very evenly. I think the lip swatch above is the prettiest swatch I ever did. Don't you think??? :")

Personally, for the shade I LOVE IT SO MUCH. The ol shop owner actually recommend me to try this one because this particular brand have darker shade, even though I was eyeing my eyes on other product (it was a sleek product!) - in which I chose a lighter shade. She was like, come on try this one, the shade is much darker and I think you'll like it. I was like, ok. AND SHE SENT BOTH ITEMS FOR ME. So much emotion ㅠㅠ

Oh! Do you notice HOW WHITE DOES MY TEETH LOOK. Awesome shade, not only it brightens up my complexion, IT BRIGHTENS UP MY TEETH :"))))

This L.A. Girls Matte Pigment Gloss is honestly great for everyone, they have 16 shades from light to dark (this one is not even the darkest). Though, they apply quite thickly so people who just into liquid lip product might feel "too makeupy", also they are kinda sticky and the stickiness didn't really came off even after a heavy meal, but also is the color, they didn't wear off.

Because they dries matte, very, very matte, it is best for people with dry lips to exfoliate before and moisturize well!

I Freakin' love this product. And I would say I love this product 85% because of the shade and 15% for the product itself. During the day, I feel that my lips are sticky, but I could just brush it off because the awesome lasting power and the perfect application I can make from this product!

Especially with this dark color, I don't really want to maintain it during the day! I just wish it was there as long as I need it (and this product really does that - without bleeding out!). Of course when it's the end of the day, you have to really check does it came off perfectly because it really doesn't come off :p

Wait, did I say that this product is super affordable? USD 5 on their website and IDR 85.000 at @SakuraBlossomShop!

Korean Harley Quinn Makeup Look (Ssinnim's Inspired!)

Hi!

Weeks ago I watched this video from my ever so favorite Korean beauty blogger "SSINNIM" and she made this "Harley Quinn" inspired makeup tutorial. I've saw pictures of idol groups edited into this Harley Quinn makeup and I LOVE THEM. Now, if you see the real Harley Quinn version, it should look like this :

But, then look at these idols. They look like Harley Quinn that been fed by love, flowers, cotton candy and clouds <3 A much, much toned down Harley Quinn look! Sure some of them still look scary, scary cool tho.
