Before we jump into the review, please kindly LIKE my FB PAGE (finally I made one!) below! I plan to put my progress and future post sneak peek through my FB page, so please if you want to stay update, click the LIKE button below, Sugars!

I wasn't going to review this product because I couldn't find it on the etude website anymore, but I guess usually global EH stores launch their collection later than in Korea, I guess I'll just review these quickly!

       BRAND
Etude House

      PRODUCT NAME
"Give Me Chocolate"

        type of product
Duo Eyeshadow

        shade
Cherry Truffle

      PRICE
4.5 g / KRW 8.500

        sites

The collection came in 3 shade selection, Cherry Truffle, Salted Caramel and Cocoa Fudge - the names are just too yummy. Honestly, I can't miss these after looking at the packaging, it's vintage and cute in the same time!

This product match 2 eyeshadow colors that compliment to each other - and Cherry Truffle is great for daily look. Around the time this was launched, it was near spring and pink eyeshadows are everywhere - i think pink eyeshadow is a more fun alternative to boring neutral colors like brown and taupe. And since I got 2 in 1 pack - no more hesitation, to the cashier I go!

I thought it will be another cardboard-paper-packaging like EH used to do before - I remember they did, I forgot the name though, a chocolate like collection and most of the products are packaged in cardboard boxes. BUT this time, it has another plastic case - which is super nice! It's great for travel and I won't have to think what shadows to combine with each other since - they already have each other.

For the pigmentation - I'm quite disappointed with the pink one, since it's hard to build on and it got kinda blotchy at some point. While the chocolate color works well - it's such a shame tho because I think 100% of people that purchased this duo will be expecting the pink to work well.

Here's the look that I made from this duo - even though it takes time to work with the pink, I'm in love with the result! (and made me look for other pink palettes. sigh) And I put a little bit of pink at my eyebrow's inner corner just to tie the look all together. Plus, you can use the pink as a blusher if you want too! It definitely will completed the look!

Overall, as much as I love the shade, I don't really like the application. It's hard to build on, chalky and blotchy - and the worst part? It happens only to the pink half of the duo set. I'm pretty much torn in between liking it or meh about this product. But the shade is just too pretty to miss - I mean, it's not often to pass out a warm pink shade - in a palette or in a single piece.

So, that's it for my review today! I'll see you soon! xx

REVIEW : Etude House's Sugar Tint Balm

Still trying to get myself together and post more reviews! Eeeek!

Now, a long delayed review of Etude House's (used to be) new collection "Sugar Tint Balm" :)

       BRAND
Etude House

      PRODUCT NAME
"Sugar Tint Balm"

        type of product
Lip balm / tint

        shade
#8 RD303 blackberry jelly 블랙베리 젤리

      PRICE
KRW 8.000

        sites
Etude House Official Site (ko)

I think this is a very "calmed" EH's product packaging, comparing to how pink and ribbon-y the other collections are, it suits my taste more than the other with typical Etude House design!

You have to turn the cap to open the product, not at all revolutionary, but it's so effective! One problem I always encounter with lip balms is when I tossed it to my bag and the cap get loose and totally ruined the product - I'm pretty sure it happened to every girl. So, a cap with a retractable cap? Oh God yes!

Like most tint / balm product, this product is smooth, not as pigmented as lipstick and pretty much more moisturizing than regular lip product. Though it is said "balm" on the name, I don't think it's enough to make this a replacement to your regular lip balms.

It has a natural shiny finish, like when you top your lips with lip balm, exactly like that. It has a sweet berry scent, not a strong one though and it slightly lingers to the lips.

Now, about the "tint" side, I do think it stains the lips a littleee bit. Even though mine is the darkest shade, you can see the swatch too, it doesn't swatched as dark as the bullet look. And on the lips, it won't stained crazily too, I still need to watch and maintain the shade like on every 2 hours. Probably the lighter color will stay on the lips much less?

This product is great for people with dryer lips, still need lip balm tho! Or for those who feel lipsticks are to restraining and high maintenance, this might be the answer for a little bit color on your face. And just remember with you can make this shade goes on more sheer with lip balms.

I like this product, they're smooth, moisturizing, the pigmentation isn't bad, and the cap, best lip balm packaging design ever! I can compare this to Aritaum's Honey Melting Balm, they have almost the same consistency, though Aritaum's have a larger shade collection so you can probably opt between and look for shade you like. I found that Aritaum's didn't have a darker shade, so that's why I wanted to give this a go!

I prefer to apply the product heavily, but it's totally up to you :) I think either way will look good!

Thankyou so much for reading! Have a great weekend!

REVIEW : Etude House's Liquid Lips

Hey!

Don't forget I'm doing a giveaway on Pony's Palettes in HERE.

Introducing (not so) new collection from Etude House : Color in Liquid Lips! Come in 20 shades, I think this is one of Etude's must buy product. Let's jump into the review, shall we?

       BRAND
Etude House

      PRODUCT NAME
"Color in Liquid Lips"

        type of product
Lip cream

        shade
#BE102 베이지 인 시크 (Beige in Chic)
#PP502 패플 인 프라이데이

      PRICE
KRW 9.500

I thought this collection will be like a seasonal collection that Etude House usually do, but it's not! It came in a broad shade collection and not to be biased, but their commercial with Krystal from f(x) uses my favorite f(x) song which is 미행. I love their ad before even the product came out.

If you've been here for sometime, you'll know that this kinda thing 100% is not my taste. It looks cheap and yeah. Well, we'll just pass on the design because at the end it's stuck on each one of your taste!

After you screw up the product, you'll see the applicator and it's a tear-drop applicator - great for precision and I think it's the best shape to apply this product as it's so pigmented!

This product has a strong sweet scent, I like it! It does disappears after application.

You'll see later at the swatches, the finish of this product has a sheen over it - definitely not matte. The shades are so pigmented, really, really pigmented. I don't think I have a lot of non-matte but pigmented lip product!

BE102 is a beige pink shade, but I think the pink does overpower the beige. It just look like pink in real life too. I use this a lot, it is such an easy color and it does goes with everything.

PP502 is a bright purpley-pink color, definitely not an everyday shade and honestly I haven't found an appropriate event to use this baby :( nevertheless, I think this shade is a great plus to my collection, I know I have too much plum shades already so this is a good variation!

As I said before, the product is very very pigmented. It glides buttery smooth on the lips and have this not overly done sheen finish. It doesn't settles on the fine lines or drying out the lips. Even after a while since application you can still feel how smooth your lips are. It's not sticky either!

It doesn't stain your lips like lip tints do, but for the brighter color it does stain your lips a bit after application. The neutral shade doesn't really left anything.

However, the lasting power is definitely not this product forte. It doesn't last that long, especially when you go for a meal. It's definitely a high maintain lip product.

This product is great for everyone, it doesn't cause any major problem on the lips and it's affordable. The shade selection is huge, it has everything from reds, oranges, pinks to purples. This is perfect for those with drier lips that want to try lip creams, since it has a shiny finish, it will be more forgiving!

Since the lasting power is quite weak, I suggest to pick up a neutral shades since it's easier to re-apply. But if you have no problem with re-applying, go ahead and try the brighter shades!

This is probably Etude House's best lip product invention of the year. I always have problem with reapplication towards EH's lip products collection, but texture and quality wise, this one is the best! This product is everything but long-lasting (and blah packaging) - but other than that? The application experience were amazing!

It's creamy, it's smooth and not drying, and it's definitely super pigmented. Like I said before, most of my lip cream products usually have matte finish, but this one is not. It's definitely much more forgiving to those who have wrinkly / dry lips to use more than super matte lip cream products.

Have a great day darlings :*

LIPPIES OF THE WEEK :)

I was tagged (like almost a month ago) but I was probably dozing off somewhere that time so I didn't get to it as quick. So here's my LIPS OF THE WEEK! :) I was tagged by ce Rini from you know, rinicesillia.com <3

After I shot the shade swatches on these lipsticks, I noticed that everything is in the same shade, like literally, the same COLOR. But then it really justifies my taste in shade, my love for these plum shade.

First, the only neutral shade in the stack is Innisfree's CreamyMellow lipstick in #3 Cream Coral. I thought I wouldn't use it a lot during the colder months, because the color came out very warm, but turns out it matches most of my eye makeup look. It ended up in my school bag for months.

For the plums, I got my Etude House Dear My Lips in RD302, still not my favorite texture-wise. I had to mix a hella lot of lipbalm to make my lips less dry with this lipstick, but I can make it work so I keep using it. Next are 2 of my 3CE lip products, it's #604 VAMP lipstick and 3CE Lip Lacquer in #desert flower. The Vamp lipstick is similar with my EH lipstick, but it's just less red, more like brownish-dark-burgundy, and believe me that slight difference do show up.

3CE Lip Lacquer is the one that I pick when I want to make a plum gradation lips, because of the slim tip it's easier to work with. And the last one is my favorite out of the bunch, it's Maybelline's Lip Polish in GLAM6 - It's moisturizing, stays for a long time, and the color is really pretty. It's the brightest plum color out of the bunch, so when I'm feeling less fancy I usually use this :p

PLUM SHADE FTW.
