CAFE 101 : Cafe Constant

Hi! Just before I upload another review, for a little bit of a variation, lemme upload my cafe trip before I continue my reviews :p

I knew this cafe from my sister, and almost immediate I visited the cafe. Not only it's really spacious, the cafe has both outdoor and indoor seatings and this season is the perfect time to visit. Even though the cafe is pretty big, I never passed through it or even see the cafe because it located in a small street just near Pukyong uni, that is right in front of my uni.

The main attraction from this Constant Cafe is : LOOKIE! Lookie is also a staff(?) in the cafe. It's a white maltese puppy that hangs around the cafe!

It's very shy and and it's scared around a lot of people - which is bad because it's always got surrounded by the girls

The other attractions from this cafe is that they serve juices - yes, mix juices. While living in Korea, outside of stands and little ahjumma stores beside the uni, I almost never encounter a cafe that has a lot of juices selections. Anyway, their brunch menu is also superb - they made their own blueberry jam!

The interior is very well placed, everything looks clean and bright. I went to the cafe twice in a span of a week.  The toast is tasty and the beverages are awesome!

Thankyou for reading the post! Hope I refreshed your eyes with some eye-candy (from the cafe, not from my ootd duh). I'm trying to keep up my uploading schedule with all the other procrastination that sometime made me forget my priorities. 

For example, watching too much lakorns like Hormones and Love Sick - Yes I know LS is ending (with me drowned in my own tear - GOSH that was good), I still keeping up with the novel that is translated by lovely Ms. Kuda from Kudalakorn. Does anybody here even watch LS? I know it's not for everyone, but I always had a soft spot for stories like that. Watching those made me think, WHY IS THAILAND SO DAMN GOOD IN MAKING TV-DRAMA. 

Come on. We, Indonesian, can't keep on producing something like GGS for the rest of the century, can we? We definitely need something more high in quality, because to be honest, WE CAN! I won't be suprised if after Hallyu wave, there'll be Thai-lyu wave or something, because I'm riding the wave right now. lol

REVIEW : Etude House's Princess Happy Ending "BELLE" Rose Cheek Blusher

Hi! Still trying to be productive so here's another review!

(Before we get into the review, I want to address my apology for the pictures, because I took the pics somewhere else with a hope of better quality and not to bore you guys, but in the end the pics came out too warm(?) and the shades didn't came out as clear.. so really sorry about that!) 

So here it is, Etude House's Princess Happy Ending "BELLE" Rose Cheek Blusher in #2 코랄빛로즈 Coral Shine Rose. This is the new Etude House collection that came out just at the edge of summer and I think it's their second collaboration with Disney characters. This time they're focusing on Disney Princesses like Belle, Cinderella and Jasmine!

In this collection they have 2 shades of blusher, and for my complexion I chose #2 because I think it'll suit someone with darker complexion than normal average Korean skin tone. The box packaging is really cute, it's designed to look like a book - because let's face the fact 'happy ending' only exists in books. lol. 

For the blusher packaging itself, there's nothing special about it. I must say it's rather cheaply made. Like it's made out of pink plastic and that's it. And the color is just... ugh. For the size it's quite compact, no more than 7 cm in diameter. I think they invested the production expenses more to the blusher shape itself. The blusher inside is shaped like a rose. 

If you're familiar with EH's Minnie Mouse Collection before this, they have blusher that has Minnie's face on it right? I don't own it but as I read reviews and my friends' experience, the Minnie shape is so freaking fragile that it broke all the time. But this time it's definitely different. Even when I swirl my brush with rage on it, the rose shape still look the same! 

this one is closer to the real life shade. 

The blusher shade is warm tone rose pink with hints of golden shimmer all over. You can definitely see the shimmers on the pan and when swatched, but when actually applied, the shimmer became a subtle highlight to your cheek! I think the #1 is more to cool tone than this one, so if you have fairer complexion, you might want to check #1 instead because this #2 can be too harsh for you. 

It does look very rosey pink, but when applied (see cheek swatch below) it's really more to a coral pink than just pink.

This blusher has a great pigmentation - which I find very different from a lot of other Korean brand's blusher collection. Because I rarely encounter a blush that have a great pigmentation and came out vividly on the cheek. Probably because I do have darker complexion than a standard Korean skin tone, but it's really hard to find something that actually do stuff to my cheek! 

Especially the subtle shimmers, I was taken back at first because I'm afraid that it'll turn my cheek into a disco ball, but thank God it didn't. In fact the shimmer highlights so naturally I can't even...

Overall, as someone that doesn't really have good experience with blusher, I LOVE THIS. I think this shade will look good for everyone because it's pink and it's coral and it's warm toned - perfect for someone with fair medium to medium tone. 

As much as I love this, I think the shade works better for warmer season. Well I still use them until today with lighter hand to just lighten up my face generally. I saw a lot of rave review from Korean Beauty bloggers too as I search for more information about this, mainly the rave focused on to its great pigmentation! 

Again, working with pigmented blusher can be tricky, the key is too build up the shade, little by little. Because it's easier to add than to remove!

REVIEW : Innisfree's CreamyMellow Lipstick in #3 and #8

Ok, I do feel bad for not posting anything for the past, I don't know, years? lol. But I had a lot of stuffs in my plate and whenever I'm back to my room I just feel like procrastinating and take a nap and doing relaxing stuff (such as watching lakorns and running man and abnormal summit while eating pop corn from CU. But ok). Enough of the excuses, I would love to share weeks that I spent outside the blog, maybe later after I got my regular blog review posts sorted up!

With the packaging that looks almost the same "Color Glow" Lipstick, Innisfree came with a new line for FW 2014 - The Creammellow Lipstick. Innisfree website kindly points out what is the difference between the two products :

I admit I had too much lipsticks already, but please, let's take a minute to adore the ROSE GOLD steel tube. When Pony from Pony's Beauty Diary showcased this lipstick, my eyes got caught pretty quickly to the packaging because it's simple, yet classy. 

The collection has a total of 10 shades, ranging from neutrals to some bright and vivid shades. I chose #3 and #8 because they are specifically pointed out as best sellers.

As the texture of the lipstick is super creamy, the SA strongly advised to not screw up more than 3mm of product while applying, because it could broke down. And also the heats could melt down the lipstick, so be careful!  Described in the box as smooth coating, pure glossy color, great fitting and infused with camelia oil!

The lipstick texture is creamy, but to compare to a similar product like 3CE creamy lipstick, 3CE's one is more creamier and slides easier. The pigmentation is really great! It can be build on, or used sheer for daily use. The finish is glossy, looks like you wore a lipstick and a lipgloss! I was kinda worried that it will look super shiny, because the pictures on the website and on Pony's video, the lipstick look super shiny and it's like the lips just kissed a bottle of frying oil.

It is not sticky at all, and the overtime the gloss will disappear, I think the lipstick fades really beautifully, not like cracks and blotchy like that. And also the lasting power is nice too! After most of the gloss disappears, the color didn't transfer especially the red one.

Well, I wish they have more FW appropriate shades. Like plums and muted beige stuff like that!

Overall, I think this product is Innisfree's Best Lipstick! I always recommend people to got with their Vivid Tint something (read review HERE) but now I find something that's can be recommend to people. This lip product is good too for people with dry lips, because the glossy effect will not accentuate your lips line.  I recommend to purchase the more vivid shade because it could be applied sheer and can be use for daily too!
