VIXX 다칠준비가돼있어 ON & ON MAKEUP LOOK

Hi!

If you followed my instagram, you'll know that I did VIXX's "On and On" 다칠준비가돼있어 makeup cover - purely just for fun because obviously I'm obsessing over Leo now.

I followed a tutorial on youtube from my favorite Korean beauty vlogger in the whole universe : SSINNIM <3 in which she covers "N" makeup in one of her videos!

For you who isn't familiar with the makeup, let me show you some references.

Now that I look at the pictures, supposedly all the members have the same eye makeup but they didn't. Each one of the has different patterns and strokes, some members have it less dramatic than the other but nevertheless it still look daunting because of their lenses.

still pretty <3

I should have used gold if I want to copy Leo's look. But personally I prefer this look with silver! So here's my look :

The details :

Gaah I know this song is like, 2013?

Even then I'm not into VIXX and their looks are still in my memories because, the heck was that! Sadly the shocking looks kinda stole the attention from the good song.

This look is so much fun to do! :D Some people suggest that I should wear this makeup when I (wishfully, in the future) meet VIXX. And my answer will be, sorry I can't because they look 100x prettier than me in this look and I can't embarrass myself like that.

Thankyou so much for reading! <3 Here's a cat-leo for ya!

CAFE 101 : "You Are Here"

Hi!

Not a long ago, someone posted on the comment section in my blog saying that I should visit "You Are Here" Cafe by Eat Your Kimchi and TTMIK team - as a fan of both, I do think I should visit the cafe!

Luckily the cafe is not far from my guest house! :D It located around Hongik University Area / Hongdae area, which is filled with hip cafes and places to drink, one of my favorite place to visit in Seoul!

To reach the cafe you have to walk quite a while from the subway station, but it's not that hard to look for. In fact, the EYK team actually made a video on how to get to their cafe! Check the video :

The cafe actually not located in the busy area of Hongdae, it's located around housing area and the cafe itself looks like an ordinary house! PS. I didn't get to meet any of the EYK crew, I think most of the time they won't be there unless they're doing their live chat videos, so don't be disappointed when they're not around! :p

 SPUDGY!

This 2 floor cafe is very spacey, and I think the advantage of located afar from the busy area is the cafe's environment itself is very calm, no traffic sounds and stuffs. The place itself is actually a perfect place for studying! Kinda wish this kinda cafe exists around my uni.

On the first floor, there's a wall filled with merchandises you can of course purchase. There's also some Korean language books and things that can helps your language study!

Oh! Another special thing in this cafe is the video booth area! It's where you can actually record yourself and the team will edit them and upload it on their Youtube channel :)

They do the order on the first floor. Lemme tell you their earl grey macaron is out of this world! :9

The second floor is really spacious!

The terrace

There's a place in the 2nd floor where you can put your letters, pictures or anything for the crew! I see a lot of people wrote stuffs there, and I was amazed how people from around the world actually come to visit the EYK crew!

So, that's it! Thankyou so much for reading! If you ever visit Seoul and you're happen to be in the area, I think it's not a bad idea to visit. If you really want to meet Simon & Martina, better to check their schedule first so that you won't be disappointed.

Until the next post! xx

REVIEW : The Faceshop's Holiday Love Collection Shadow Palette

Hey!

I know the holiday season just passed, and this post supposed to be up before then but I was completely forgotten. Well, it's better late than never! Anyhoo, here's a review for the "Holiday Love Edition" Shadow Palette from The Faceshop!

      BRAND
The Faceshop

      PRODUCT NAME
"Holiday Love Edition - Shadow Palette"

        type of product
eyeshadow palette

      PRICE
20 g / KRW 25.900

        sites
The Faceshop Official Site

It came out just slightly before the holiday season, and honestly I wouldn't know about this product if it doesn't showed up on my FB feed. There's a korean blogger that I followed and she reviewed about this and it seems quite good so I decided to try!

You know, Filia, eyeshadow palettes, inseparable.

The palette design itself is a collaboration between "Hwang Na Kyung" - and sorry I don't even bother to look for her in the net, but she must be a illustrator or something right?

I personally love the design, simple and still a very adorable one. The palette has 10 shades, most are jewel toned to match the holiday season. And here's one thing that I like, they included a matte brown shadow to blend the other rather bright colors.

9 out of the 10 shades are shimmers, some has more glitters than the other. The one in the middle is a matte neutral brown shade. It came with a sponge applicator and a mirror filling the lid part.

First of : the pigmentations are good for one two, meh for some, and the rest was plain bad. Like for example the colors on both sides are the worst in pigmentation. And the fallouts are as bad too. The texture also varies too, some are definitely creamier than the other.

I found that the neutral colors are the best from this palette, but if you're looking for a neutral shades I don't think you would buy this palette in the first place.

Nevertheless, with the right technique and patience, I can still get a decent eye makeup look from this palette.

Now, the other problem is I see that the shadows stay on my lid without crease, but the colors are getting less and less pigmented by the end of the day. Like for the shimmers, I see that most of it gone by the end of the day.

Pretty packaging and the shades are pretty
Doesn't crease

Too much fallouts
Uneven texture
Poor pigmentation in average
Price and quality aren't even

Overall, the quality of the product is a super 'meh' but looking at the price point, I really want to ask them how that's even possible. Right now it's already 50% off on the website btw. I felt like I was tricked by all the reviews from Naver, it seems like all Korean bloggers didn't even state anything about fallouts or something similar.

For the pigmentation, I don't have a big expectation from the start, but the darkest shade is the worst really.

Now that it's 50% off the normal price, and if you think it worth the price, definitely go ahead and purchase it, but it does need a proper tool and tricks too make these eyeshadows actually works.

Thankyou so much for reading this review! Sorry it took a while to post this :p Have a great day everyone! :D
