REVIEW : Clio's "Kill Cover" Liquid Founwear Cushion

Omg. This is really been a while since my last post, isn't it.

Real life stuff really caught on me, I'm graduating, my family came to Korea, and I'm moving out from Korea. For good. Yes! I'm back in Indonesia - for life - maybe. And thus begin my life of unemployment. If only blogging brings real money lol.

Anyway, I've tried a ton of new beauty items that I would totally share the experience here ASAP. Please just wait for a while until I unpack everything, right now I'm stuck to my travel stuffs - including the makeups - because 1. I'm too lazy and 2. still has no idea where to store the stuffs. If I got everything figured I'm sure the posts will be up pretty fast!

Now, let's talk about another cushion face product - it's been a while since I tried a new cushion, from a new brand - Clio! Today I'm reviewing Clio's "Kill Cover" Liquid Founwear Cushion in Ginger

      BRAND
Clio

      PRODUCT NAME
"Kill Cover" Liquid Founwear Cushion

      type of product
Cushion foundation

      shade
4- BO Ginger

      PRICE
KRW 32.000

This cushion came with a pack like in pictures above, I thought "wow their so kind they gave out another foundation!"  but later I knew that it's not a different foundation, but it's the cushion refill!

I love the design, I think this is the only cushion with black exterior! Love it! Outside of the design, the inside isn't differ much from other cushion product from other brand.

One thing is that I find the clap isn't really tight, you have to press real hard to make sure it closes!

Usually, cushion products came with air puff (the one with blue surface?) but this cushion came with a different puff, it's pretty much similar to the air puffs but it's less dense - personally I prefer the regular air puffs because they're more durable.

Since it's a "Kill Cover" line from Clio, compared to other cushion brands I've tried, this product coverage is the best. For a cushion product, the coverage is indeed great, but it's still can't beat high coverage foundation - but for a cushion it's indeed great!

Came in 3 shades, with Ginger is the darkest. I must say they came out pretty fair, but it has a slight darkening through out the day. This shade, Ginger matches my skin tone after I let it oxidize (I'm mac NC 25/30). Ginger has a yellow undertone.

The cushion has a dewy finish, not as dewy as IOPE cushion, but it's definitely not matte.

After a few weeks using this product I find that this cushion works best without face primer underneath. It tend to look less natural, cakey and cracks with primer underneath, and seriously I don't know why that happens. It does perform better without primer.

This cushion compares closely to Innisfree's Long Lasting Cushion - but with a less matte finish, and less cakey looking (when used without primer). I also found that this product has a little creases, as I usually find that all foundations creases around my smile line(?), but this product hasn't crease on me!

This cushion is best for people with normal skin, not too oily not too dry. Because this cushion has a tendency to stick to dry patches, and because this cushion isn't look great layered with primer, people with super oily skin will probably feel it has not enough oil control!

Of course this is great for people that still want dewy finish with good coverage :)

First, I was totally disappointed with this product, but once I get rid of my primer, it became 10 times better. Of course because of the missing primer, this product kinda lacks in the oil control side. But, after figuring stuff out, I pretty much use this daily now. Another reason is because I haven't unpack and the one that I have around is this particular product, but it isn't sooo bad that I have to look for other alternative, like for example, my mom's foundation.

I've been wanting to try something from "Kill Cover" line, outside from their concealers. I think I've made a great decision to try this cushion rather than their foundation.

I think this is a great solution for ones who look for coverage + cushion type product, because as you can see most of cushion products has low to medium coverage as this one is one step better in the coverage side.

The fact that the refill isn't come in a "cushion" type, I'm kinda iffy with the fact that I have to "re-use" the cushion inside :(

Thankyou so much for reading! Don't you worry I'm not quitting blogging, AND a giveaway is coming up soon! :)

REVIEW : 3CE Watergloss in Switch On

Hy!

Back to a 3CE product review today <3 Today I'm bringing you a review for Watergloss, a product relatively new from Stylenanda.

I just got back from watching "No Mercy" - anybody here watches that too? I'll share my thoughts after episode 9 under this review post! :D

       BRAND
3CE

      PRODUCT NAME
"Watergloss"

        type of product
lip tint / lip gloss

        shade
#switch on

      PRICE
USD 21 / KRW 19.000

Sleek black with a respective shade band in the middle to make sure you didn't grab the wrong one if you have several of these. I love the fact that they make a different packaging for this particular product instead of just going with their lip lacquers packaging design.

Even though it's named by 'gloss' - I'm pretty sure they marketed these to be a lip tint instead. Of course you can use this as a lip gloss on top of other lip product, but this product is pigmented enough to stand on its own.

The whole collection consists of 10 shades, with mostly bright color they have everything from orange-y shades, red, pink, plum to purple-ish shades. The applicator is very similar to their lip lacquers, it's slanted and smaller on the tip - making it easier to make gradient lips color and for precise application since most of the shades are so bright in color.

#Switch On is a cool tone pink shade, definitely it looks less neon-y in real life!

As the name suggest, this product has a very glossy finish. And for the better, it doesn't contain any bit of shimmer / glitter / or anything bling-bling inside, it's just has this very glossy sheen over. Almost like I covered my lips with a layer of water. So glossy and shiny - in a very good way.

Though from the swatch you can see how pigmented this product is, the reality is when applied to the lips you can see your natural lip color peeking through.

Usually most glossy product has this stickiness in exchange to its longevity - this? has 0 stickiness.

I see that the glossy sheen will be gone after a while, but it still stains my lips so it doesn't really disappear completely even after the gloss is gone.

Glossy finish lip product is definitely more forgiving for people that is prone to lip crack. I would recommend this for people with dry lips. Even though you might still need lip balm underneath, this product isn't drying at all.

Also I think it kinda blurs my lips line too. As someone with wrinkly lips, I notice that the gloss overall make my overall lips appearance better.

The glossy finish also have this plumping effect and an overall giving my lips a healthier look!

I love this! I thought the shade would be too neon for me, but apparently the pigmentation isn't as strong as I expect, which is great.

I haven't tried on a top of other product, like for a lip gloss, but I think it'll work great too!

Still, the price is probably the only factor for me to not repurchase this / trying other shade. lol :(

Ok, so that's it for my Watergloss review! Now to my "No Mercy" rant (it may contain spoiler from episode 9 - don't read if you no want spoiler!) :

First, I don't know what to feel any more since Yunho been kicked out from the program. I'm probably started to lose my sh*t after they add a new member to the show AFTER kicking some of the members. To be honest, I'm not a fan of the ones being kicked out so it's definitely not a super heart broken moment for me.

I found the program to be hilarious - plus all the drama surrounding the show (comments on their youtube channel is definitely worth to read.) I will watch the show until the end, yeah I know only 1 episode to go, but I'm not sure that I can support them after the show.

Here's my perfect "No Mercy" debut lineup :

1. Shownu (leader & 맏형 oldest)
2. Jooheon (main rapper)
3. #gun (rapper and he can be the funny guy)
4. Gihyeon (main vocal)
5. Wonho
6. Minhyuk (visual 담당)
7. Yunho (supposedly. Now I.M can be the maknae)

Sorry HyungWon and SeokWon, Hyungwon you can be a model if you like and SeokWon, how about a duo with Yunho? I'm sorry, but really, the more they say how "Hyungwoon" is the "Visual" of the group - the less "visual" he looks for me.

Probably after the last episode and the final debut lineup, "No Mercy" will probably lose some fans and they have to produce a friggin' good music if they want to stand strong in the business. Hip-hop Idol groups are A LOT these days and beating YG's hip-hop groups is definitely a big mountain they have to go over. Especially Winner, since their songs are pretty much played every where in Korea.

So yeah, just wanna say that recently I've been watching No Mercy every week, let's just support the kids and good luck for them and let's see if my lineup does come true or not lol

JAPAN 2015 東京二0一五年

A little picture diary of my Japan trip last month! I consider this as a birthday gift from my parents for me lol I know I'm really blessed to be able to visit a dream country of mine twice in less than a year!

This time me and my sis just hang out around Tokyo, we stay in the coziest, cleanest airbnb ever in Shibuya. Though you might feel claustrophobic in the bathroom, or in most places in Tokyo basically.

Through this 5 days trip, we travel around Shibuya (duh), Harajuku, Ueno, Asakusa, Ginza, and DISNEYSEA. Gosh, nobody is too old for Mickey!

I'm waiting for the day when Japan will be a free-visa country for Indonesia passport holder (yeah I can just register for an e-passport) because I will definitely looking forward for my third visit - and the fact that both me and my sis had some trouble with our visa application, glad that it's all straighten out an I'm safely flying out to Tokyo.

One thing that I can be sure from this trip is that my Japanese skill has hit rock bottom. I think 3 languages are my limit. Good bye Japanese, you'll be missed :(

Haul soon!
