PAC "Spotless Expose" Workshop in IMAE 2016

Halo semuanya! Hari ini aku mau bagi post tentang pengalamanku main-main ke IMAE Indonesia 2016 (International Make-up Artist Exhibition). Acara ini digelar tanggal 2-4 Desember 2016 di Balai Kartini, Jakarta.

Di IMAE ini, aku dapat kesempatan bersama PAC dan Martha Tilaar Group untuk ikutan "Spotless Expose" Workshop. Dalam workshop kali ini, PAC mengajak peserta untuk belajar bersama gimana caranya untuk mendapatkan kulit yang super flawless untuk photoshoot! Nah, workshop kali ini dibimbing oleh Makeup Artist asal UK "Justin Henry" dan juga photographer Indonesia dengan spesialis Fashion dan Makeup "Ferry Zulfrizer"

Workshop kali ini berfokus dengan produk baru dari PAC, yaitu "Studio Coverage" - foundation yang cocok banget untuk photoshoot, super flawless tapi masih menjaga tekstur kulit!

Workshop dimulai dengan sharing dari Ferry, dimana Kak Ferry menekankan banget, sebagai photographer dirinya lebih memilih agar Makeup Artist tetap mempertahankan tekstur kulit. Jadi, misalnya model punya acne (jerawat), dia menyarankan untuk MUA supaya mencover "warna" dari jerawat itu, bukan mengcover benjolan dari jerawat. Katanya, masalah mencover benjolannya itu adalah masalah post-production (serahkan semua pada photoshop! haha)

Kemudian, acara workshop dilanjutkan dengan demo dari Justin Henry. Dalam demonya, Justin ngajarin gimana caranya mendapatkan hasil makeup muka yang flawless, tapi tetap engga cakey. Dan dalam demo kali ini, Justin Henry menggunakan semua makeup dari PAC. Makeup muka di model menggunakan Studio Coverage dan makeup mata + bibir menggunakan koleksi PAC dari District X.

Selanjutnya, workshop dilanjutkan dengan demo oleh Ferry Z dengan mini studionya, dan dia menunjukkan betapa si Studio Foundation ini sangat terlihat HD di kamera!

Setelah itu, kita diminta dong mempraktekan dari yang diajarkan oleh Justin ke model kita. AAA dan cuma dikasih waktu 30 menit!! Project Runway versi makeup enough? lol!

Kemudian, hasil karya kita dinilai oleh 4 orang juri yaitu tentu saja Justin Henry, Ferry Zulfrizer, Sendy Gothic dan Gilang Foster - dan dipilih 5 orang dengan makeup terbaik untuk dapat hamper special dari PAC seharga 2 juta rupiah!

I WON! yey! Ternyata.. saya termasuk dari 5 orang yang dipilih untuk dapetin hamper ini KYAK. Of course I bet everyone's work is amazing! Apalagi menggunakan foundation dari PAC yang... tidak disangka-sangka SUPER BAGUS. Coveragenya luar biasa dan blend-abilitynya... superb! Iva from Ivabeautyjourney.com juga berhasil untuk "merampas" hamper ini muahaha!

Pengumuman pemenang dari workshop yang diadakan oleh PAC ini diumumkan di central stage, bersamaan dengan PAC show. PAC Show dimulai dengan Justin memulai demo dengan Studio Coverage. IN LOVE WITH THE MAKEUP. Inspiration for holiday makeup?

Aku juga mau share swatch Studio Coverage yang aku dapat dari workshop kali ini. Warnanya ada 4 dari 01 - 04. Aku sendiri ada di tengah-tengah nomer 1-2. Studio Coverage sendiri juga ada loose powdernya - aku udah nafsu pengen beli dengan voucher yang aku dapat dari workshopnya di booth PAC di IMAE, tapi sayang katanya itu masih pre-release :( Tapi jadi seneng juga, karena ikut workshopnya aku jadi nyoba duluan (and I tried it as a makeup artist, since I used it on my model - feel so blessed! haha)

Bisa dilihat dari swatchnya, Nomor 1 pink base dan sisanya Neutral dan yellow based. Coveragenya luar biasa dan bisa dilihat finishnya matte, tapi masih ada "sheen" yang tersisa jadi foundation engga terlihat nge-demplok meskipun coveragenya gila! (Semua model, mine or Justin's tidak menggunakan concealer loh! Foundation ini bisa banget buat nutup kantong mata dan jerawat-jerawat!)

Nah, itu dia pengalaman aku di IMAE 2016 dan PAC "Spotless Expose" workshop! It was fun and educating! Karena aku juga kerja sebagai MUA, ini beneran membantu banget untuk ketika aku foto model photoshoot - karena perfection is everything! Untuk isi hamper, aku akan bahas di postingan HAUL IMAE yang akan aku upload after this! :D

Bought this palette while ago from joancorner.com - I was going to use this for my makeup client, but turns out it's not what I expect to be.

Sure it was affordable, and there's a lot of shades that will match a lot of skin tones. But the first row, the lighter row is kinda patchy when applied, the bottom row is much better for the formulation. I was gonna use the bottom row for contour but it turns out that the shades are not as dark and quite reddish/yellowy too - not ideal for contour :(

The foundation/concealer wears out pretty quickly during the day. But then, I found out that this palette is good for quick touch up! Since I usually mix foundations for clients, sometimes I'm short on time to mix another foundation - so I use this palette :) 

The coverage power is not that good, maybe that's why it's good for touch up since it didn't cake up when layered.

REVIEW : Aritaum's All Day Lasting Foundation

Hey! 

It's the first product from the Aritaum "All Day" line that I'll be reviewing, it's the foundation! I'm delaying this post because actually.. I lost my foundation and a month later I found it!! It was hiding in my dad's car and fortunately it was safe and sound. After I found it, I found myself using this almost everyday - and believe me, I have so much BB creams, cushions, foundations that can last me a lifetime but I still use this foundation as it was that good!

The foundation didn't come with a box. Nothing really special about the bottle itself, it actually got a transparent cap on top but I can't find mine when I was taking the picture :(

It contain 40ml of foundation, 10ml more than the normal 30ml of foundation.

This foundation contain SPF of 30 PA++, the shade #2 Natural Beige is the second shade and it only have 2 shades in total. This shade is slightly too bright for me but it still looks natural :)

The foundation is slightly watery than I thought it will be, but because of that the foundation is light weight on the skin. Since it's "All Day" the lasting power it's really in question, isn't it? For me, the foundation stays on the skin ok all day, since the foundation finish is on the semi-dewy side, after 2-3 hours my t-zone is getting oily. But overall, I can say that it'll last for a day, though I haven't try it for 24 hours or more. 

And when I wash my face, I see that the foundation is waterproof and can't be washed away with water only - tho you shouldn't wash your foundation with water only! And that may add the lasting power since it can counter your sweat, especially living in all day summer country like me.

What I like the most about this foundation is that as the day goes, it gets prettier and prettier. I mean, after a few hours, when my face oil naturally starts to show up, the foundation made my skin looks shining from the inside (lol). Seriously though, there're a lot of people actually come up to me and ask me what's my foundation because my face looks glowing so naturally (they said, seriously)

I used this on other people too and they kept asking what foundation I used because it looks so natural. 

Also, I can see that this foundation have good coverage! These days my skin have been super good so I only need this foundation to cover everything :)

The foundation is great for normal to dry skin type, those with oily skin should layer this with primer for more oil control. 

First, I'm not really sure about the foundation because it's kinda moderate, but as I use it people kept complimenting my skin (I guess the glow made my skin actually looks more ok than it is). And since then, I naturally went toward this foundation and I have no major problem - tho I still wouldn't recommend this to those who have super oily skin. 

I love this foundation and I'm so happy because it contain more product than normal foundation so I can enjoy it longer :")

NOVEMBER FAVORITES

Hey!

This year definitely goes away really fast. I like December as much as I hate it. Of course I like December for its holiday and festive feels, but before all of that, I have to get through all the finals and also clean up my room to move away to other room. Well, this December will be my last December to do that, and again it somewhat gave me a huge burden and worry about what I'll do after my graduation. Aah.

Anyway, let's stop with all the blue stories. Let's jump on the favorites of last month!

From the makeup and beauty stuff, I got my favorite foundation from VDL Perfection Wear Foundation in V303, this is a recurring favorite because I stopped using this foundation for a while because I feel like it's too yellow for my skin tone. But I think my skin tone got a tad darker after the summer and the tone finally matches again. I think the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge also helps to even out the foundation shade to be less yellow too. And to base everything before, my favorite will be the Innisfree's Smart Makeup Blender in Long-lasting! Sorry the review is not up yet, but it definitely helps to control oils on my face through out the day and it's really affordable too!

First, is a perfume that I use daily is Etude House's "Fresh Me Up", it's smells like soap it's really like I'm fresh out from the shower everything I spray on this. For this winter survival, my Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia & Nature Republic "White Musk" hand cream is a must! For the nails, I'm in love with Trou de Lapin "Better than Old Burgundy" nail polish that I got from "Brown Memebox", the dark brown with iridescent glitter is a unique color for me and it's really pretty especially for these season!

I've been dragging this bag everywhere really. I got this tote bag from a Singaporean online store bxtwxxn.com - This tote bag is really versatile and it fits a lot of stuff! Been loving this bag for like, ever. Also the thin straps turns out to be stronger than I expected. The leather is very soft too <3

That's it for today's post! I'm gonna kick my ass and do more reviews this week! Ugh, the real life stuff bene hanging my head lately and I just feel tired and not inspired at all. BUT I'll try to work my best to catch up! :)

MEMEBOX "Color Series Box #2 Brown"

Hey!

I know it's been so long ._. Anyway! I've purchased another box from Memebox a couple of weeks ago, since I saw they have a "Color Series Box #2 - Brown" box. I love it when Memebox made a makeup box instead of skin cares product, and sadly makeup box isn't that often compared to skin care boxes. I think cosmetic boxes have better value and it really feels that you save more with these boxes.

This time, the box came with almost everything to make a full-makeup face look. From foundation to the eye makeup, even nails too!

1. LUNA "quick on stage complete duo" (full size) KRW 20.000

It's an eyebrow powder and also could be used for hairlines - because manipulating hairlines can make your face smaller. I thought in this brown box, the eyebrow set is brown, turns out it's a dark gray shade, which is totally my shade because my hair is currently black. Outside of the pretty packaging, the color didn't really shows up, maybe because it's a eyebrow product, usually those product do have lower pigmentation. The kit came with 2 brushes, none are angled brush that I usually like to use when filling in my eyebrow :( oh, because of those brushes the kit is really bulky.

2. MAYBELLINE "new york diamond glow shadow #1 copper brown" (full size) KRW 15.000

Maybelline is really overpriced here in Korea, and this product is one of the reason on why I want to purchase this box. This is the only I can somewhat get Maybelline products in a more reasonable pricing. Always a big fan of these eyeshadow quads, although this is more to a gold - orange color palette than brown. Nevertheless, loving the quad!

3. TROU DE LAPIN "nail polish" (full size) KRW 18.000

Never heard this brand before, thought to be a non-Korean brand turns out it's a Korean brand. I thought the brand name and the packaging is real cute! I got the darkest shade out of 3 (sent on random). I got "Better Than Old Burgundy" which is a dark brown color with red, gold and slight green glitter mixed. I thought the color is really great for Fall and I honestly had nothing similar like this shade. I'm really impressed with all this product gives, but the price is so high above I don't think I'm bothered to purchase another one :"(

4. YADAH "auto gel liner goodbye smudge #02 romantic brown" (full size) KRW 9.000

Pathetically, it's called "goodbye smudge" eyeliner but it's does smudge on me and completely disappears within hours. I don't have high expectation for this either so it's just an meh product.

5. ORIGINAL RAW "10 cushion foundation tube" (full size) KRW 16.500

Foundations in beauty boxes in where you can't chose you shade is kinda tricky. Especially in Korean beauty box when most of the time the foundation inside is too light for most people. Luckily, this foundation is light - medium coverage, it's slightly too light for me, but it can be blended just fine.

6. SHARA SHARA "secret face stick bronzer #02 dark brown" (full size) KRW 7.000

Despite being "dark brown", the color didn't really show on my face, it fells heavy on the skin and sticky. I was really excited about this product because I'm a bronzer girl and I had never tried any kind of stick bronzer, and this definitely a big disappointment.

7. CHEEKROOM "lipstick #08 Nude Brown" (full size) KRW 9.900

This might be the nudest lipstick I had in my life. I look super pale when I use this alone, but I like to use vampy color just in the middle part of my lips when I use this lipstick. It's an ok lipstick I think :)

Overall, I'm really impressed with all the products inside. I just realized that all the product inside is all full size! And below is some pictures when I used all the products :
