REVIEW : Moonshot's Perfection Dark Spot Concealer in Light Medium

Hey! It's been quite a while since my last post isn't it? :( Sorry! Been away for a while for a short trip to Japan last week and right now I really need to collect every power that I have to resume (and to unpack) to a more productive week! :))

Also! I read every bit of your lovely comments, it's just I have a very bad habit to not replying to comments (or chats - seriously my friends are so mad about this habit of mine.) IF you do have a very important questions for me, please do email me on mysugarcoffee@hotmail.com - I will get to you asap!

Now, the last product from my "Moonshot" saga is, the concealer! Moonshot Perfection Dark Spot Concealer in Light Medium 01!

       BRAND
Moonshot

      PRODUCT NAME
"Perfection Dark Spot Concealer"

        type of product
concealer

        shade
light medium 01

      PRICE
KRW 24.000

        sites

Still, and again, super love the pixel symbol on the cap. The packaging is overall very sleek, just a square tube with a black, matte cap. Doesn't look and feel cheap at all! And, the cap actually clicks nicely when I closes it, making sure that the angles meet each other - OCD people you'll love it (looking at you, 3CE nail polishes - I hate the fact that I have to match your stupid angle every time!)

The duffle applicator is actually not as hard - it's really flexible comparing to other concealer with similar applicator that I have. Which is actually really nice because it can maneuvre nicely between the side of my nose (I need concealer on that place the most.)

The concealer itself came in 3 shades, I chose the middle shade, so imagine there's one lighter and one darker shade of mine.

The concealer is not thick in consistency, almost watery I must say. But the coverage is awesome considering how watery it is!

Also, I don't need a lot of the concealer to cover up anything. I can use it for my under eye or for my acne / blemishes. But I do think this works better for blemishes.

One thing is it sets into a very matte finish, making it look kinda dry - or cakey even. This concealer is definitely can't be use alone (without bb cream / foundation / any other face base product) because it'll look weird, especially for the under eye.

Considering how 'dry' this concealer looks after it sets, I think this concealer will be better for people with normal to oily skin. It has a great coverage too, which I know a lot of oily people will need to cover redness / acne scars.

If you have a super dry under eye area, you might not want to use this concealer for your under eye.

Overall, looking how small the amount I need to cover anything, i think this concealer will stay with me for a long time. I know this concealer isn't Moonshot's best product, almost nobody in naver blog even reviewed / purchased / or show even any interest to this product. Nevertheless, I'm a concealer addict, I need to try this and I think this concealer is above satisfactory!

Also, the shade matches my skin perfectly! It doesn't look too yellow / pink / or orange on my skin :)

Thankyou for reading! I changed my post's layout a bit, what do you think? :)

REVIEW : Moonshot's Color Moonwalk Cream Paint in Bonne Mares

Hey!

Another moonshot product review coming through! It's the "Color Moonwalk Cream Paint" in 106 Bonne Mares

       BRAND
Moonshot

      PRODUCT NAME
"Color Moonwalk Cream Paint"

        type of product
lip cream

        shade
106 Bonne Mares

      PRICE
KRW 25.000

        sites

Being one of Moonshot's representative product, I can't miss my chance to check these stuff out. I've had the darkest shade in my mind for a while. But when I saw the whole collection.. Hemmm the pinks caught in my eyes, but since I decided to purchase a nude shade for the lipstick, so I finally go for the vampy one!

Again, the product packaging is super simple, with black matte coated cap. AND THE SUPER CUTE PIXEL LOGO ON THE TOP. Can't miss that. I had a trouble catching the exact color of this product because it always turns black on photos. But you can clearly see from the photo above ^ that the shade is more to a vampy red color.

This product has the funniest weirdest applicator ever. It's huge and wide, not like your usual applicator.

Now I get it why they make the applicator like that, because the product texture is very, gooey? The texture is very thick and you definitely need a bigger applicator to be able to scoop the actual product out from the tube.

I don't think I can explain the texture with words, because I can't think something that comparable with this product. I thought the samples on the store went bad (?) so the texture is very gluey and chunky, but the actual product is actually like that.

Though it looks shiny on the swatch, as time goes it will become matte. I think the best description to this product is a matte lip tint! Because it's matte, but it stains the lips, rather than giving another layer to the lips like other lip cream product.

And, you have to work in layers to get a maximum pigmentation out of the product. And even I still haven't master the blending trick for this product. Oh! I think you can use this product for blush easier because of the gooey texture, I tried in on my cheek (even though the color is probably too strong for a cheek color) and I guess they turned out ok? Cheek swatch below!

Overall, I personally like this product, it does take time to be totally used to its texture. As it's a unique one, never encounter something like this before. The lasting power is nice, it slightly stain the lips, and the matte finish is really nice! It's not drying, even after all the gloss is gone, the product didn't settle on my lips line.

On a side note, this product is recently dubbed as Lee Sung Kyung's lip tint, as she introduced this product on "Get it Beauty" and people started to look for the product. The one that she has isn't in my shade, but I think the product is great! :)

REVIEW : Moonshot "Color Moonwalk Stick Extreme" lipstick in "NUDE FICTION"

Hi!

Finally, the first review from my "Moon Shot" haul! Before all of that, how's 2015 for you? Mine started pretty bumpy, yeap even though it's still a holiday season for me, but it seems that I didn't do much.. to cut things short, I had some problem with my visa application to Japan (YES, I'm going to Japan again at the end of the month! Can't wait!) and my portfolio progress isn't went really well too, as well as the blog..

BUT! I saw Leo (yes, LEO of VIXX - well actually all the members too..) on Monday, for a few seconds only tho, but he's as perfect as I imagined he is. They were in Busan for a fansign event, I didn't get into the fansign tho, but it's ok, caught a glimpse of him!

Now, to the real review! :D

       BRAND

      PRODUCT NAME
"Color Moonwalk Stick Extreme"

        type of product
lipstick

        shade
M802 Nude Fiction

MoonShot official site

First, love the packaging, love everything - especially the pixelated sign over the cap, the design itself drove me crazeeey! On the website sadly you can't see the symbol because it's located like over the cap, the image on the website can be boring as hell because it's like a black rectangle, and that's it?

The price, of course, I thought a lot about it and still I purchased it. Some might definitely say, why not go for a MAC lisptick, or a NARS lipstick (gimmeeee) but maybe it's a blogger instinct, I want to try something new and share it to you guys! :)

The shade that I chose is "Nude Fiction", even though I'm right now is obsessed with plumy - dark color, considering that this lipstick has a rounded edge, I think it's easier to work with a nude color, or a color that won't bleed too much.

I think the writing of "Moonshot" in the lipstick bullet is the cutest thing evar! :p Some might compare this to a 3CE lipstick, I'm pretty sure I took a picture of both lipstick but I lost it somewhere :s Anyway, 3CE lipstick is slightly bigger and Moonshot lipstick is matte coated, as the 3CE lipstick is pretty much shiny. Other than that... maybe the lipstick bullet shape?

"Nude Fiction" is a warm peach that has a strong orangey tint to it. For me, it's a perfect nude that wouldn't make my face look sick or washed out! Still, it looks weird on me if I didn't wear any makeup and wear this lipstick alone lol.

Even though it didn't stated clearly on the product description or somewhere else, this shade in particular dries matte. It is said that you can use it not only for lipstick, but for other things, probably for cheek color? but yea, every lipstick can do the same la.

Usually, most matte lipstick has this drying effect, especially when you put your lips together it has that dry feeling - this, didn't happen for this product, it keeps its smooth texture! I can't say that it's moisturizing, but it definitely isn't drying and it felt really good on the lips! :D

LEFT moonshot "nude fiction" RIGHT 3CE "daily lady"

Turns out I have a similar shade from my 3CE lipstick bunch, but "Nude Fiction" is definitely has a stronger peach shade, while the 3CE one have pinkish tone more :D

There's not particular scent coming out from this lipstick too! yey!

Overall, I think I got my money worth from this product, I see some reviews over on Naver, and most are saying good stuff about it, mostly about how moisturizing this lipsticks are. (If I have more money to spend) I would love to try other shade, probably the brighter and bolder shades, I want to try to see if the round edge gives problem for the application or not!

The english website should be here soon! Probably you can ship the product internationally through the website! :)

MOONSHOT HAUL

Remember that I said I'll be back with some stuffs on my 2nd visit to "Moonshot" store on this POST. Yes I did! I went back during Christmas and bought some stuffs. I've stalked the website quite often and made an imaginary list on stuffs I have to get when I'm there (again)

The visit to the store can be very "pressuring" because of the exclusive-ness and the place itself is really fancy and all. Very, very 부담스럽다. Anyway, because I already have the stuff I wanted in my mind, I quickly test them to see if they look great irl or not, in 10 minutes I already decided what I wanted. Then, I tell the SA what I want and he quickly find all the stuff for me.

Things I got :

1. Color Moonwalk Cream Paint in 106 Bonne Mares
2. Color Moonwalk Stick Extreme in Nude Fiction M802
3. Moonshot Perfection Dark Spot Concealer in Light Medium 01

Outside the stuff that I got, they also gave out some samples for me to try, the pink box is "Concentrate Serum Essential" face oil, I think, and the other is a tinted moisturizer "Multi Protection Skin Tint" in Natural 1 (obviously too light for me)  :

Other then that, they have this promotion going on, for every purchases over KRW 70.000 you'll get a free makeup pouch, and a clutch for purchases over KRW 100.000 :o

And let me tell you, the pouches are very well made. It's really simple and pretty, totally my style hehe!

Overall their service is really top notch. A lot of people been comparing this to Style Nanda's 3CE, and I do think so. Their packaging, and their store concept is pretty similar. The SAs are friendly (some even good-looking, I see tourists from China actually took pictures with the SA. that's cute)

well, actually TOO friendly I think. When I paid my stuffs on the cashier, there's a problem with the connection and it took a while to process. And also the SA actually took a wrong shade of my lipstick, luckily they open the packaging one by one to make sure that the shades are correct. And ofcourse they change to the correct one and make sure again.

While doing all that I spoke in Korean, and while waiting for it I conversed with my friend in Bahasa (duh). The SA was looking at me so strangely, maybe he wondered lah for a bit where does exactly this girl come from. When things are done, the SA gave me another 'sample' in which is a KRW 9.000 value Cotton Pad (I forgot to take a picture of it, it's kinda huge.) and asked a few questions like, where do I come from etc.

And then came a very awkward question for me: "Do you know about this brand before you came here?", so I said, "uuhm.. yes?", then he asked again, "How do you know??"

"......uhm...... (after a few awkward eye contact with my friend)...... because I.... like...k-pop...?"

In case you don't know this cosmetic brand is owned by YG entertainment, home to Big Bang, Jinusean, Lee Hi, and Winner etc - I even knew about this brand from Allkpop!

The SA just smile brightly "Ah... So you like K-pop!" and high-fived my and my friend before we went out. Seriously.......

Maybe it just me, sometimes I'm embarrassed to admit that I like K-pop. But at least I'm being honest! The moral of the story is that even though the SAs look intimidating, they're actually nice! (or definitely trying their best to be nice)

I'll review each of the products I got soon! xx thankyou for reading :*

A GLIMPSE INTO MOONSHOT

Hey :)

Not a long ago I was in Seoul and I took that chance to visit the newly opened "MOONSHOT" a cosmetic brand from the so-called YG Entertainment company. Aside from my inner K-pop freak mind, I think the brand itself is quirky and cool. Their concept is strong and very YG-like. YG is famous for its fashion-freak artists and 'MOONSHOT' definitely supports the image very well.

The online store is in www. moonshot-cosmetics.com
I noticed that they divided their line into 3, EVOLVE being all their color makeups, PREPARE being all their face makeup products and CONDITION being all their skin care stuff.

Their colored makeups are consist of bright and vivid colors which is hard to see in other Korean brands. In one of its PR event, MOONSHOT invited some Korean beauty bloggers to get a makeover, to use colors and shades they don't usually use. Like, to release their alter-ego? Maybe that's why the line is called 'EVOLVE'.

Apart from the concept and varieties of product that I like, I also noticed that most of their products are not made for 1 purpose only. You can see on the website there's a "MULTIUSE" option. Most of their color makeup products are not limited to serve 1 purpose. Like the product below, Color Moonwalk Cream Paint 101 - can be used for lipstick & cream blush, and the powder duo can definitely be used for eyeshadow and contour/highlighting.

Now to the offline stores!
Their online store is in Seoul, specifically located in Samcheongdong, one of my favorite place in Seoul. I've wrote on direction to Samcheong-dong before, but I'll paste it here anw :

"Samcheongdong area is not far from 경복궁 (Kyeongbok Goong - Kyeongbok Palace). If you're going with public transportation, you can take off in 시청역 (City Hall Station), go to exit 4 and take 종로 11 bus and take off in 삼청동주민센터 (Samcheongdong Community Center). After that you can take a walk through a lot of cafes and little shops, and with a little more walk you can get to 북촌한옥마을 (Bukcheon Hanok Village) which filled with traditional Korean houses (people do live in there! so be quite around the area or you will disturb the residents :))"

So, if you've got to the main road in Samcheongdong, just go straight! MOONSHOT store located just right beside the main road, next to Starbucks. It'll be easy to spot. Other than their flagship store in Samcheong-dong, you can reach their product via internet.

image from moonshot-cosmetics - stupid Filia forgot to take the building pic. Typical.

Some might feel that the overall store feel and concept is similar to 3CE. Yes, I did feel that 3CE and Moonshot is similar, probably because of the black packaging for their respective products.

99% of their staffs are MALE. YES. MALE. yes. And regardless they're very helpful and will definitely can help you. Didn't notice any special SA for English speaking customer, but I'm sure you can manage without the SA lol

There's some product that caught my eyes, but their price range is higher than I thought it'll be (it's pricier than 3CE, averagely KRW 5.000 ~ KRW 20.000 more expensive) so I definitely need time to really consider this. Oh! They're brush collection is superb too, they had some brushes that I seldom see on regular makeup store :)

Not to forget their super cool collaboration with Tablo from Epik High :

Thankyou so much for reading! That's it for my visit to MOONSHOT. Next time I'll definitely bring something home for myself :p Questions? Down below!
