REVIEW : PeriPera's Peri's Ink Velvet

In the midst of liquid lipstick rave everywhere, you don't think that Korean brands aren't bringing their own, do you?

Today, I'm bringing you a review of probably on of the best liquid lipstick I knew. The perfect one! Their shades and the formulation itself it's very above satisfaction!

Peri Pera Peri's Ink Velvet is another addition to their Peri's Ink collection. Today I have the upgraded version of original Peri's Ink (read my review HERE) - Peri's Ink The Moist and Peri's Ink Velvet. (I got the upgraded version of Peri's Ink - Peri's Ink the Moist, a while back but never got the chance to review it, and I definitely took the detail picture - but I think I lost it.. so I'll just put mini review at the bottom!)

First, the packaging have been not that different from the previous collection. As you guys probably know, this collection is famous for their lasting power. As for the velvet, I felt that it's hard to make it last longer than lip stains.

I chose #6 and #8 shades - because of the previous purchase experience, seems that darker / more vivid shades in this collection have similar pigmentation - so I really want to try the lighter shade! They're first came out with 5 shades (No. 1-5) and for F/W 2016, they came up with another 5 (6-10). After looking around in Youtube, seems like #6 Celeb Deep Rose is one of the most popular shade (and it's definitely my kinda shade!)

For the formulation, Peri's Ink Velvet is very light on the lips. Pigmentation is great, plus they have satin matte finish (no 100% matte i must say). Staying power is GREAT (can see from the swatch, that even the lightest shade stains the lips - add more lasting power).

Personally, wearing liquid matte lipstick is usually heavy on the lips - but not this one. While the pigmentation is great, it's definitely flake free and isn's drying at all. I must say, if you have dry lips and you're afraid on trying matte lips - you should try these!

Peri Pera is a brand that first famous for it's tints - I'm happy that they're still the best in the market for tints. Not only the pigmentation / formulation of the products itself - but the interesting packaging (and collaboration with PowerPuffGirls!) also supports their fame <3

*Now, for the Peri's Ink upgraded version (original version READ HERE). According to the website, the difference is in the glossiness and also the moisturizing power. I personally don't feel there's huge difference between the new and the original version in formulation. Though for the shades, I personally love the new collections' shades more! ^^)

These liquid lipstick has been #1 in best liquid lipstick / tints ranking and I say they're definitely are!! Plus, the new shades are something that's a lot of people would love. Some of my friends used these and they're like IM ON TOKOPEDIA WHATS TINT IS THAT I HAVE TO HAVE IT RIGHT NOW. lol *racun berjalan*

REVIEW : PERIPERA'S PERI'S INK IN #2 시선루팡

This is a very long delayed post, I know. Introducing the super cute Peri Pera's Peri's Ink! Mine is #2 시선루팡 :)

First, the packaging is undeniable cute. Everyone will definitely ask what is that whenever I pulled this out from my bag. Inspired by real ink, the packaging is one of the reason on why I feel the need to invest in this product!

The applicator is very firm, but still very easy to apply and the applicator is flat on its side, so it's great for even application and to make that Korean style gradation lips too!

The product itself is more like a gel type lip tint, that literal ink - which I thought this lip tint will be super watery but it's not. It's definitely much more solid that Peri Pera's Water Tint. 

I do think Peri Pera is one of the best brand in lip tints, and with this they prove it once more! 

The gel-type tint didn't settle in lip lines as much as the water tint, it's definitely easier to apply and control (remember how I said I always get tints in my teeth with the water tint - nope, it won't happen with this one!). 

This tint is famous for being long lasting, so long lasting that its minus point is their lasting power. Peri Pera also launced a specific remover for this ink product so that it'll disappears. For me, I didn't need specific remover, I just used my regular cleansing and remover and it's pretty much gone. (but on the day I took a pic of the swatch on my hand, it took 3 days for it to completely gone from my hand ._.)

They state that this lip tint is so light, you won't feel it. I say, yes it is. It's so light and definitely not as drying as regular water tints, so you won't feel discomfort or feeling of something in your lips. Lasting power is definitely one of it's strong point, as the pigmentation is not as vivid as other tints but it still comparable with those with brighter, more vivid shade tints. 

I found that other than using this lip tint alone, this could be a great base for vivid colored lipstick. So sometimes when I'm using bright shade lipstick, I used this lip tint first and then the lipstick. Since the lip tint has this staining effect, when the lipstick faded, it won't leave an awkward spots where my true lip color exposed, instead it'll shows the stain the lip tints left so it'll look less disturbing! :)

Super, super love this product. It's long lasting, not drying and the cute packaging is everything. The pigmentation might be not as strong or as vivid as other lip tint, but I say it's great for everyday use!

The super cute packaging is definitely an eye catcher and you'll be famous in a second once you shows your lip tint on your weekly girlfriend meeting! XD

Oops, one more thing is that when my friend used my tints, she said it has no bitter taste which probably older "original" tints had. That's another plus point I should say! The scent isn't strong too :)

REVIEW : Peripera - Miss Peri Kit

Hey Hoy!
This time I'm going to review the Miss Peri Kit from Peripera. I got this off Gmarket for only KRW 8.900! The original price was KRW 20.000. Click here to see the Gmarket page. Obviously its an impulse buy, seriously you gotta check the 'Deals of the Week' window in Gmarket for good deals!

This kit is a starter kit, or an introduction kit if I may say to the brand Peripera as it contains 2 of their best seller products in their best seller color selection.

First you get 3 of their Peri's Tint Water in #1 Cherry Juice, #2 Pink Juice and #4 Mandarin Juice, Smoothie Waterproof Pencil Liner in #2 Gold Brown and #6 Shimmer Beige. All in the mini-travel size. I must say you get a lot for the price and stuffs like these lasts you a looong time I can guarantee. Plus a sharpener! How convenient!

As the name says, the Smoothie Waterproof Liner is very smooth and easy to apply! I like to use pencil liner for my delicate waterline, so the smoother it goes, the less tickle and tuck you'll give to your waterline. For the pigmentation, the Gold Brown one (darker one) is much much more pigmented than the Shimmer Beige one. The Shimmer Beige is rather harder to work with especially for the waterline.

For the lasting power, I've used the Gold Brown for tightlining my upper and lower waterline. It lasts much longer for my upper waterline than my lower waterline. But it still does stays for a good 3-4 hours until it fades away (luckily it doesn't smudge away, so no panda eyes!) and for my upper line, it lasted the whole day I was out!

As for the glitters, both contain some but doesn't bother me much because after being applied the glitters are hardly visible to human eyes. Also the shimmer beige really looks shimmery more than glittery, like its name, which is a nice thing!

I used the #2 Gold Brown for my outer corner and upper waterline and #6 Shimmer Beige in my inner corner.

I've made a different post about the Peri's Tint Water so I'm not gonna talk about the again, click here to read my blogpost. I have nothing to add from that blog post, but one, I've mastered the Tint Water!! Now I could apply them (even touching up) without getting them in my teeth! Girls, practice is the key for every makeup applying, I swear.

Instead I'll show you the swatches of the tint!

From left to right : #1 Cherry Juice, #2 Pink Juice, #4 Mandarin Juice. Second picture is the tint left after I sweep the swatches with a makeup wipe.

The #1 Cherry Juice and #2 Pink Juice only have a sliiiiight difference on my lips. But I like them both! :D Which one do you like the best?

Overall this is a super recommended product for you guys that wanted to try the Peri's tint for the first time. Not only you got 3 colors but also you get to try the eyeliners too (which surprised me because they work really fine!) in a super great price too! Think of it as a trial kit. Also it's a good thing to give as a gift for someone! lol.

If you already own a Peri tint, it wouldn't hurt to buy some more ;) PLUS it's a travel size!

REVIEW : Peripera "Peri Tint Water"

Ugh it's finals week and I'm dying because obviously my professors were kind enough to give us project + report + portfolio to submit by next week PLUS the written exam. wut? And here is the moment when I really really really wanted to be a Korean so so so bad so that I could actually wrote something in the exam paper, or atleast the skill to actually understands the question which sometime it's hard already because all of the question is in KOREAN. fml. anyway I wasted my last weekend to procrastinate so I might be die by next week. kthxbye

One thing that comes in my mind looking to this tint's character there : "Is this a makeup brand that 2NE1 made?" No joke. I know there's a 2NE1 Music Video where they were drawn as somewhat cartoon characters. Maybe it's just the same illustrator because they do look similar. (After a quick search of google, it is the same illustrator as 2NE1's MV and Album cover! very talented!)

Anyway this is the cutest packaging ever a tint could have. Just make sure you don't mix them with nail polishes because they are sure look similar. This might be a cheaper alternative for Benefit's Benetint. I never actually tried the Benetint so I can't compare the products. And honestly I'm also not a fan of something 'tinted'. This is the first time in my life to try a water-tine product ever.

As you can see the liquid is very very water-like, very runny. Mine is #1 Cherry Juice 체리 쥬스. I believe they have a total of 5 colors? and other variations such as the more creamy one (I regret not getting those instead of this one actually), the chubby-stick-kinda-one and lip balms and stuff. If you're in Korea you can get these in Olive Young for about KRW 7.000. You can go to Gmarket to look for more great prices!

Honestly speaking, again, maybe because this is my first time experience in lip-tinting world, I haven't master completely on applying this product :(

IT ALWAYS GETS INTO MY TEETH!! I' ve attempted to try those popular lip-coloring technique where you make a gradation over your lips so that the inner lips are more tinted and gradually disappears as it goes outward which I failed badly lol.

Atleast it's not like Nature Republic's lip tint (very similar too this product too), because NR's taste so bitter but this one does not taste anything (Is it weird to review a lip tint and talking about its taste. hem). So make sure to check your teeth before going out wearing this lip tint.

The applicator actually pretty nice. sturdy and I prefer applicator like this.
The staining power is great and for such a cheap price it's recommended for people out there that are lip-tint fan. I think I'm gonna stick to normal lipsticks until I got a hang out of it.
