REVIEW : Innisfree's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Water

Finally, I got to write a review! Now that KKI 2013 is finished (very very succesfully), I may get back to my old schedule and might could do more review now! I was one of the performer in KKI, so I don't get to take much pictures (duh), I have so many selca tho! So after the official photos and videos are all uploaded, I'll make a post here about KKI 2013. Btw, KKI 2013 stands for Knock-Knock Indonesia, a performance full of Indonesian traditional dances and song, made by Indonesian students in Busan, specifically in Kyungsung Uni. This time we got the theater filled with people, we had to install more chairs.

Ok, enough about that.

The product I'm reviewing is Innisfree's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Water. It contains 85% Natural Origin Ingredient and filled with green tea and green complex. Innisfree is famous for their Natural Ingredients, and this product is also 4-free system (No paraben, No artificial coloring, No Mineral Oils and greases, No animal raw material)

Retail for KRW 12.000 and I bought it on the store.

The first time I used these cleansing water, i was like, "wait, this is not how innisfree's green tea smells like??". And i told my innisfree-maniac-friend and she said, it's green tea seed's scent you're looking, not green tea! Well, now I just know that Innisfree have several types to their green tea line. So, in conclusion, I don't like the scent :(

Anyhoo I picked these up because 1. I wanted to try a cleansing water, any cleansing water really, because i just didn't get the idea on how water can erases your makeup. Innisfree's store provide these cleansing water to use so you can wipe off swatches off your hand. After trying it out in the store, i waited until the "membership day" sale and finally bought it!

The description on the bottle wrote :

"This dewy, easily washable cleansing water contained with Jeju eco-friendly green tea moisturizing, antioxidant ingredients and witch hazel water throughly removes not only sunscreen and BB cream but also light point makeup"

I usually like to use these only on my eye area, or lips, after I wash my face. My cleansing foam mostly washes out my makeup but very often my eyeliner or mascara were left out. I once tried to apply it on a cotton pad and apply it all over my face. My face became sticky and smelled bad (because I hate the scent...). I'm sure that my face is cleaner that way, but i'm not a fan of the feelings it gave. So far it erases my left out eye makeup good - and definitely not as sticky as when I applied it all over my face.

I did apply it all over my face once in a while, just when I want to re-apply my face makeup. I prefer to erase all and re-do everything than to apply over again - it felt so refreshing to walk out with a new "makeup"!

As for the packaging - i can't get over on how easy it is to pump out the product out! Just flick the cap, put a cotton pad over it, and press! No mess, absolutely easy, and hygienic! This is the best bottle - packaging i ever encountered in my life and i can't get over this!

If you are going to travel with this product, really be careful if you're going to bring the whole bottle because I noticed when I tilted the bottle to the side, the product inside kept flowing out. Even after I screwed the cap real tight, the product still found way out! So better to carry the product in a smaller bottle for travel. It's a 300ml product too, this is a lot!

RIGHT to LEFT lipstick, full cover foundation, pen liner, pencil liner, metallic eyeshadow, gel pencil liner

Overall, it's a good product! With the price and the amount of product you get, it's a real deal! I haven't tried any other cleansing water (oh, bioderma...why you have to be super expensive here..), so I can't really compare. This product didn't erases makeup as good as a makeup remover, but definitely not oily (that's the thing I hate about eye makeup remover.. very oily). But it did stated to 'removes light point makeup" - not heavy duty, waterproof makeup, so it does what it stated! Not a fan of the scent, but maybe you'll like it if you're into greentea (I don't)

The bottle itself is a favorite of mine, as it really easy to dispense, though you have to dispense it to a cotton pad. This product is good enough, but I still want to try Bioderma. I have to go through this before I purchase any other cleansing water, and I still have a long way to go :)

ps | i forgot to write that these product didn't smell like greentea per se, it smells like grass-herb-thingy. though i would still hate the smell if it's green tea tho lol.

  4. This looks great! I always doubt the cleansing water's ability to remove make up. I have heard great things about Bioderma and I might try that just to see how well it works. Nice Review!

    1. I also shocked on how many people raved about EH's pore freshner, I've used a whole bottle and it didn't do anything for me.. but as I said before if you use this cleansing water for toner it's really sticky :(

even though it's greentea, it doesn't really smells like one!

  11. I just bought this recently but I'm still on the fence about it. I guess because I've been so used to using bioderma everyday I can't get over how heavy and sticky it feels afterwards. Also the scent! It's very strong. It does remove make up though, so I can't complain too much haha.
