After reading Gohalainn's post about these Etude House's Rosy Tint Lips, I just can't miss them on EH sale a week ago. I was surprised because the fall line had just released but they went on sale already! So I got these 20% off from KRW 8.500. I'm glad I've got the Flowering Eyes before because they're out of stock.
Even though I've constantly reminding myself that I don't need more lip colors and stuffs like that, I ended up buying 2 colors from this line. They have a total of 8 color selections and I picked up #7 Tea Rose (티 로즈) and #8 After Blossom (애프터 블라썸). This is a part of their 2013 Fall '&Rose' collection.
The packaging is a 'whatever' for me, I really liked the box much much better. I always appreciate matching tube and the product respective color, that makes everything much easier! In the description it is said that it had a rich color and velvet finish, also 3 ways to apply it : 1. gradation lip look 2. full lips color and 3. as a blusher. I'm not a fan of both 1st and 3rd way to apply it so I always go with option 2.
I must say it's my first time to own- or even see a tint with a sponge applicator. I personally liked the applicator because the sponge could absorbs back the 'excess' product. So that the product last longer on my lips & didn't overly transfers the color to everywhere when I drink / eat. Though I saw some comments from people with smaller/thin lips said that it was kinda hard for them to apply it, I say use a brush!
Only the plastic tube is pretty hard to press. And it was quite a horror because I'm really afraid that the product will squirts outward if I pressed too strong. I saw the comments on Etude House' official website and apparently almost everyone is complaining about how hard the tube is. What I do is I made sure to store them with their cap on the bottom - or shake them toward the cap a few times to make sure the product is ready to 'come out.
#8 After Blossom is one of the 2 top colors (the other was #1 Before Blossom) and the staff strongly recommend me to get this one. So yeah.
Overall, it does what it said, velvet finish and vivid color - I'm pretty impressed! I do recommend to use a lip balm before application because it can be drying. It doesn't has any recognizable scents and it's not sticky at all. And I'm sure a lot of you guys can really appreciate the packaging! Even though it said 'tint' but it doesn't necessary means that it'll stain your lips but they do last for a pretty long time.
Please Etude, just.. fix the tube. I got overly scared when pressing the tube, really.
What do you think? :) Which one is better? :D

yes! Korean brands had this 'habit' to put the word 'tint' to every lip products they have :s
Deletethankyou!! x
I am so happy you reviewed the two colours I've been eyeing! This pretty much confirms it; I am going to purchase these.
ReplyDeleteTea rose look so pretty
ReplyDeleteWah! The Tea rose tint is such a pretty shade! Great review btw, this makes me want to go get it so bad. Easier said than done! The colors look really good on you! :)
ReplyDeletehaha thankyou! :):):)
Deletethankyou!! xx
ReplyDeleteI really love Tea Rose, but this formula is too drying for me. Can you recommend some moisturizing lipsticks with this color? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI can recommend you to check Etude House's Look at my Lips in #19 Pole in Beige, it's not 100% similar, it's more nude and definitely didn't have the matte finish rosy tint lips gives! I hope that helped! Have a nice day!
DeleteI like your reviews and I'm glad I found your blog. I lihe both color but I think After Blossom more unique.
ReplyDeleteI have them on my wish list :)
Thank you so much ^^
